Under the styrofoam pack and resting on some Thai newspapers was what I figured was the "official" packaging for this product: a mess of bubble wrap. Taped to the outside was a tiny resealable bag with "Rei" written in pink marker, containing a fine metal chain. From other assembly reports, I'd thought the kit required you to provide your own chain, so this was a nice surprise.
